I really appreciate the safety of this place, especially for children. The buildings are located around a green area with well-maintained grass. Children play here, ride scooters and bicycles. It would be great if soon a special play area for kids would be installed here - it would excite the kids even more. Besides, parents won't have to fight with their kids so often for time with gadgets. Kids will be in a hurry to spend time outside. The apartments themselves are quite comfortable. Repairs are made and new appliances are installed. There are no problems with parking, which can not but please. Trash is taken out on a regular basis. The grounds are clean. The neighborhood is very convenient - near banks, stores and other offices. The proximity of a major bus stop is also a big plus. I am also glad to see the major renovations and equipment replacement in the laundry room. I look forward to opening day! From my wishes for the owners of the apartment complex and the office staff: - Installation of a few cameras with an overview of the area where children play - Cleaning of the territory so that the parking lots are clean - Regular cleaning in the laundry room after opening My sincere thanks to the office staff and administration for their hard work and efforts.

First off I want to say I been living in this complex for almost a year. The updates they have done are amazing! Amanda the manager of mt. Vernon is amazing. She is fast at getting back to the tenants on any issue they have. Steve the maintenance man has been doing a amazing job keeping up on the maintenance repairs! If I could give this place 10 stars I would! They have done so much around here to make our living experience great and they have successfully fulfilled that with the updates to the apartments and hard work they put in day to day. Highly recommend renting from mt.vernon you will not regret it.

I have lived here four years and the previous management was aweful never did repairs or listened to concerns the new management is great Amanda is the best landlord and Steve is always prompt on fixing things when needed not to mention a really nice guy. I feel so much safer and thankful to securities property for what they have done for this property and community and for me and my low income family.

I've read that the person instrumental in buying Mount Vernon Terrace has an interest in restoring and preserving it as he used to live here himself with his mom many years ago. I understand there are tenants who are upset about remodeling and changes being done, and I am fully understanding about that. Even today a notice said that upper floor residents have to leave their apartments next week for some fixing of the stairs. I am perhaps coming from a different perspective. I am really happy I was able to move here. Had to move from a rural area to the city to be close to doctors, which I hated. The place I moved to first had traffic, sirens, and even gunshots in the night, full anxiety mode. But for me this apartment is wonderful: pine trees, walking paths, the g'kids can visit anytime, grocery store a block away, ground floor instead of an elevator, a patio for my plants! It's like living in the country but close to groceries and my doctors. And Steve and Amanda are friendly and helpful, and really seem to enjoy working here. In all, for me this is a good place to live. And yes, I am completely real. Just because I have an online pseudonym does not make me unreal :-D

Mount Vernon may not be in the best condition but it as come a long way from what it was in just a short time. While the remodel can be a pain, I also know a lot of it was extremely needed. Some apartments needed more work than others. New stoves, new refrigerators, new storage doors; which is definitely a God send because if someone wanted in your storage bad enough (for whatever reason), they'd just cut your lock off. I have lived here a few years and I am extremely glad to see things getting taken care of. Amanda and Steve are always willing to answer any questions or give advice when needed.

I just want to take a moment to congratulate the staff here at Mt. Vernon Terrace, their efforts definitely don't go unnoticed. We have had many challenges in the past. And with their hard work and dedication to make our apartment community feel like home have made it worth living here. I have been here almost 8 years and ever since the new owners and Amanda showed up It has been amazing, they are on top of making everyone feel safe and comfortable. We are their number one priority and to me that says a lot!!! Amanda, Steve, and Robert and Owners you are the absolute best thank you for everything, I hope your here forever because no one absolutely no one can do this job better than you.
